Your basket is ready and you haven't clicked. It's not the product that's holding you back. It's the postman. It's the neighbour who takes in parcels for you. It's the person who opens the post at home, or who looks at the accounts. Many people stop there. That's normal, and the question deserves a real answer. Here's what's written on the box, what appears on your bank statement, and what we can't promise you.
- What's written on the box
- Who handles the parcel before you
- What appears on your bank statement
- The e-mails you receive
- Choosing your delivery
- What we can't promise
What's written on the box
Nothing about the contents. Nothing about the shop. It's written on our page Delivery & discretion, and here is the sentence word for word:
“All parcels are neutral: no logo or mention of the contents on the outside.”
In plain terms: it's an ordinary brown box. No photo, no drawing, no sentence printed on it. On the label stuck to it, there's your name, your address, a barcode and a tracking number.
That leaves the sender line. Our orders leave from a partner warehouse, in Spain. That's the address that is printed. Someone reading it sees the name of a transport company and a town in Spain. The shop's name isn't there.
Who handles the parcel before you
Between the warehouse and your door, several people handle it. None of them has any reason to open it.
- The carrier. They see the weight, your name and your address. They carry dozens of boxes just like it every day.
- A neighbour or a caretaker, if you're not there and you've agreed that they can take in your parcels. They see a closed box, in your name.
- Your letterbox, when the parcel is flat enough to fit in it. There, nobody touches it.
So the delicate point isn't the box. It's the moment it's handed to you, perhaps in front of someone. You can partly choose that moment. It all depends on the address you give.
What appears on your bank statement
A bank statement never says what you bought. It gives a date, an amount and a seller name. The list of items isn't on it. It's neither on the paper statement nor in your bank's app.
That leaves the seller name. It's a normal question. We'd rather not write a roughly correct name here: from one bank to another, this line is sometimes shortened or written differently. If this point matters to you, ask us for this name before ordering, at contact@letabli.shop. We'll reply, with no further questions.
The e-mails you receive
From us, two e-mails, no more.
- The order confirmation, right after payment. It's your proof of purchase.
- The shipping e-mail, when the parcel leaves the warehouse. It contains the tracking link.
After that, the carrier may write to you separately about the delivery. Those messages come from them, not from us.
Let's be clear on one point. These e-mails are not neutral. They carry the shop's name and the order details. That's necessary. They serve as your invoice, your proof of purchase, and your warranty if one day a product stops working.
The box is neutral. Your mailbox isn't. If several people read the same address at home, that's where something might be seen. Order with an e-mail address that only you read.
Choosing your delivery
Let's say it straight away. At checkout, only one delivery method is offered: home delivery, by carrier. There's no pick-up point or parcel locker for now. If you miss this option, let us know. It's the kind of feedback that gets things moving.
Here's what you can do:
- Have it delivered somewhere other than home. The delivery address doesn't have to be your home address. Your workplace, or the address of someone who knows, works too.
- Separate the two addresses. The billing address and the delivery address can be different. The name printed on the label is the one you write in the delivery field.
And if you're not there when they come, it's the carrier who decides what happens next. They'll let you know and tell you what to do next. This part doesn't depend on us, and we can't decide in their place.
What we can't promise
We're responsible for the box, the label and our e-mails. We're not responsible for what happens around them.
We don't know whether your neighbour watches who rings the bell. We don't know who opens your post. We don't know how your bank writes its statement lines. Nobody can guarantee all that to you.
What we can do is answer before you order. A question about the box, about the name that appears on the statement, about the delivery address? Write to contact@letabli.shop. There's no embarrassing question, and you won't be the first to ask it.
The page Delivery & discretion gives the costs and delivery times. Is your question also about noise, once the parcel is open? There's a separate guide: Quiet and discreet: choosing well when you don't live alone.
On the box: your name, your address, a sender in Spain, nothing else. On the bank statement: a date, an amount, a seller name. Never the list of items. In your mailbox: two e-mails in our name, to be received at an address that's yours. And an address for asking your questions before ordering, contact@letabli.shop.
